The new Affordable Care Act (ACA) has changed individual and family health insurance. No longer do applicants need to have to worry about pre-existing conditions. Insureds can also qualify for help with premiums from government subsidies.
On-Exchange Health Plans – plans applied and purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace which can be controlled by the state or federal government. These plans provide the insured an opportunity to receive subsidies to help pay monthly premiums. Plans on the exchange provide specific benefits and health care provider networks contracted with the health insurance plan administrator.
Off-Exchange Health Plans – plans are purchased directly from a private health insurance provider. These plans tend to have larger networks of providers and can have different benefits compared to a similar on-exchange plan.
You can find the right plan that fits you and your families needs.
